A table for one, and a dream
I'm a citizen of three countries. I've lived and worked in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and now Canada. Travel has never been something I do occasionally - it's been woven into the fabric of who I am.
Shortly after turning 50, I suddenly found myself without anyone to travel with for the first time in my life, and it stopped me in my tracks.
My kids were grown. My friends had commitments. And the kind of travel I wanted to do - slow, immersive, culturally rich, in the places I love most - wasn't something I could find in the group travel options available to women like me.
So I went anyway.
And I’m glad that I did! But I won't pretend it wasn't lonely.
I remember sitting in a magnificent restaurant with a view of the ocean, knowing how lucky I was to be there - and then looking around at the other tables and noticing two other women, also alone. I thought about introducing myself. I didn't. I finished my meal in paradise by myself and thought: there has to be a better way.
That afternoon, The Well Travelled was born.

Not just a trip. A different way of experiencing the world.
I spent years refining what this could look like. Drawing on more than a decade of event planning and retreat leadership - including leading my first women's only trip in 2011, an experience that showed me what happens when women travel together, and combining it with a lifetime of personal travel to the destinations I love most.
In 2025 I completed my licensing exam as a Travel Consultant and made it official.
Every itinerary I create is built from personal experience. I've been to these places, many of them multiple times. I've stayed in these hotels, eaten at these restaurants, taken these excursions. I know what's worth your time and what isn't. I know which table at which restaurant has the best view. I know which excursions feel rushed and which ones feel like the best hours of the trip.

A note on group sizeEvery journey is limited to 14 women. Not because of logistics, because of experience.
Smaller groups move differently. They eat at better restaurants. They get into places larger groups can't. They form real connections rather than surface-level acquaintances. And they create the kind of intimacy that makes a trip genuinely transformative rather than just enjoyable.
