There is something about Hawai’i that gets into you.
It isn't just the ocean, or the extraordinary beauty of the landscape, though all of that is real and awe-inspiring. It's the Aloha spirit. The sense of kindness, unity, and harmony that permeates the people, the culture, and the land itself. You feel it the moment you step off the plane, and you carry it home with you long after you leave.
This ten-day journey takes us through two of Hawaii's most iconic and beloved islands - the vibrant energy of Oahu and the slower, more intimate soul of Maui.
We'll be staying at the lengendary Royal Hawaiian hotel with is in the heart of Waikiki Beach. We'll explore the North Shore, have a stop at a quiet beach that locals adore, experience a luau dinner, and learn about Hawaiian history and culture.
This is Hawaii felt deeply. Not rushed, not ticked off a list. Experience, body and soul.
Every detail of this journey has been designed with one intention in mind, to give you an experience that is authentically Hawai'ian while also giving your body and mind the rest they deserve. This is not a trip you will need to recover from. The rhythm of each day moves between immersive cultural experiences and genuine restoration, so that by the time you fly home, you feel the embrace and harmony of what Hawai'ians describe as "aloha spirit".

The itinerary
-
Arrive in Honolulu and check in to the Royal Hawaiian - Waikiki's iconic "Pink Palace," where you'll be greeted with a lei upon arrival. If your flight arrives by 7pm, join the group at an intimate lounge for welcome drinks and small plates as we begin to find our footing in paradise.
-
Breakfast at the hotel - our official group gathering. We spend the morning in a Hawaiian hair ornament making workshop before a free afternoon to explore the beach, wander the hotel's historic grounds, or simply exhale. In the evening we attend a traditional luau dinner.
-
Breakfast on the road as we set out on a private island tour of Oahu - the North Shore, iconic beaches, legendary lookouts, and the kind of scenery that reminds you why you came. The afternoon slows down at one of Oahu's most beautiful beaches before we end the day with a relaxed dinner at a favourite beachside restaurant.
-
Breakfast at a nearby restaurant before a hula dancing class - one of Hawaii's most beautiful and culturally significant art forms. The afternoon is yours to explore Honolulu. We come together in the evening for a sunset dinner with ocean views and live Hawaiian music.
-
A free morning before we visit a women-owned shop celebrating local Hawaiian crafts — where we take part in a hands-on workshop to create something beautiful to bring home as a souvenir, and sit down together for lunch featuring authentic Hawaiian poke. The afternoon is yours. We will enjoy our final Oahu dinner at an beautiful beachfront restaurant.
-
Breakfast at the hotel before our inter-island flight to Maui. Private transportation takes us to our home for the next four nights — a restored plantation-style boutique hotel that captures the charm and soul of Old Hawai'i, surrounded by a six-acre sanctuary designed around connection with nature and modern mindfulness. Once you have settled in, explore the grounds and ease into the slower, quieter pace of this more intimate island. This evening we gather together to learn about the tradition of lei making before sitting down to an organic farm-to-table dinner.
-
Rise with the sun for optional morning yoga, then linger over a leisurely breakfast before we head to a locally owned and operated organic farm for a tour and one of the best meals on the island. We then travel by private transportation to the relaxed beach town of Paia, keep your eyes on the shoreline for the sea turtles known to sun themselves here. The afternoon and evening are yours to explore Paia's boutiques and restaurants (including Kimberly's favourite shop), relax on the beach, or return to the hotel for a quiet evening at the pool, hot tub, or spa — where you can experience a traditional lomi lomi massage.
-
A recovery day — sleep in or join the morning yoga class before breakfast and a lesson in the art of hula dance. In the afternoon, deepen your relaxation with a sound bath, enjoy the hotel amenities, or venture out to explore Paia or Makawao — Maui's charming cowboy town. After a full day of rejuvenation, private transportation takes us to one of the most iconic sunset dinners on the island.
-
Rise early for one of Hawai'i's most extraordinary experiences — watching the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala, Maui's dormant volcano at over 10,000 feet. On the way back we stop for breakfast and a few surprise stops along the route. Return to the hotel to rest before we reconvene for our final dinner together in Maui.
-
A final breakfast together. Aloha.

Important details:Frequently Asked Questions
-
SIZE: Many group tours move in crowds of 40 to 60, but the Well Travelled intentionally limits our groups to just 14 women. This intimacy is the heart of what we do-it transforms a group of travellers into a circle of friends, allowing for a connected dynamic that simply isn't possible in a crowds.
PACE: While many tours rush to check boxes, squeezing multiple excursions into a single day, the Well Travelled chooses depth over distance. We believe that one incredible, immersive experience-rich in understanding and local flavour-is far more meaningful than a blur of short stops that fade into one another by sunset.
ACCOMMODATION: Most regular tours offer mid-range hotels to lower costs, the Well Travelled caters to the woman who believes that where you sleep is an essential part of the journey. We understand that a hotel should be more than just a bed-it should be an experience! That's why Kimberly personally visits 15 to 20 hotels in a destination before making a selection. Kimberly looks beyond the stars, seeking out that rare, intimate "boutique" charm that even the grandest hotels sometimes miss. We believe that a beautiful day deserves a beautiful place to end it.
FOOD: Food at the Well Travelled is never an afterthought; it is part of the experience. We select food that caters to the woman who travels with her palate, seeking out flavours that tell the story of the land. Whether we are sharing a farm-to-table lunch at a local organic farm, enjoying a white-linen dinner with a breathtaking sunset view, or discovering a hidden-gem food truck where the locals linger, you can be assured that every meal is hand-picked for its authenticity, quality, and ambiance.
BALANCE: We believe in travel that breathes. At the Well Travelled, we bridge the gap between a slow travel philosophy and the reality of limited vacation time. We achieve this by balancing group discovery with intentional personal downtime, so you don't need to recover from your vacation when you return home. Because your time is your most valuable asset, we've meticulously vetted every stop. From cherry-picked gems to immersive cultural moments, we ensure every experience transcends the ordinary and is worthy of your hard-earned vacation.
All of these elements combine to create a highly customized travel journey that lets you feel the soul of each destination.
