About the trips

  • Women who love to travel but don't want to do it alone, or who don't have the time or inclination to plan a deeply curated trip themselves. If you value quality accommodation, meaningful experiences, and genuine connection with other like-minded women, you're exactly who we had in mind.

  • Not at all. Whether you're a seasoned traveller or someone who hasn't travelled much in a while, these trips are designed to feel effortless. Everything is handled - you just need to show up.

  • SIZE: Many group tours move in crowds of 40 to 60, but the Well Travelled intentionally limits our groups to just 14 women. This intimacy is the heart of what we do-it transforms a group of travellers into a circle of friends, allowing for a connected dynamic that simply isn't possible in a crowds.

    PACE: While many tours rush to check boxes, squeezing multiple excursions into a single day, the Well Travelled chooses depth over distance. We believe that one incredible, immersive experience-rich in understanding and local flavour-is far more meaningful than a blur of short stops that fade into one another by sunset. 

    ACCOMMODATION: Most regular tours offer mid-range hotels to lower costs, the Well Travelled caters to the woman who believes that where you sleep is an essential part of the journey. We understand that a hotel should be more than just a bed-it should be an experience! That's why Kimberly personally visits 15 to 20 hotels in a destination before making a selection. Kimberly looks beyond the stars, seeking out that rare, intimate "boutique" charm that even the grandest hotels sometimes miss. We believe that a beautiful day deserves a beautiful place to end it. 

    FOOD: Food at the Well Travelled is never an afterthought; it is part of the experience.  We select food that caters to the woman who travels with her palate, seeking out flavours that tell the story of the land. Whether we are sharing a farm-to-table lunch at a local organic farm, enjoying a white-linen dinner with a breathtaking sunset view, or discovering a hidden-gem food truck where the locals linger, you can be assured that every meal is hand-picked for its authenticity, quality, and ambiance. 

    BALANCE: We believe in travel that breathes. At the Well Travelled, we bridge the gap between a slow travel philosophy and the reality of limited vacation time. We achieve this by balancing group discovery with intentional personal downtime, so you don't need to recover from your vacation when you return home. Because your time is your most valuable asset, we've meticulously vetted every stop. From cherry-picked gems to immersive cultural moments, we ensure every experience transcends the ordinary and is worthy of your hard-earned vacation. 

    All of these elements combine to create a highly customized travel journey that lets you feel the soul of each destination. 

  • Absolutely. Every itinerary includes a balance of guided group experiences and free time for you to wander, rest, or explore at your own pace. You'll never feel rushed or over-scheduled.

Booking & payment

  • Browse the upcoming trips, choose your destination, and secure your spot with a non-refundable deposit. You'll receive a confirmation email from Kimberly with everything you need to prepare for the journey.

  • At the time of booking we'll collect your full name, passport details, dietary restrictions and allergies, emergency contact information, roommate preference, and any mobility considerations.

  • Each trip has its own payment structure outlined on the trip page. All trips require a non-refundable deposit to secure your spot, with the balance due 90 days prior to departure. Payment plan options are available for Hawaii and Texas.

  • In the unlikely event a trip doesn't reach the minimum number of travellers it will be cancelled and all payments -including deposits - will be refunded in full.

  • Yes. If your preferred trip is full you can add yourself to the waitlist and we'll contact you immediately if a spot becomes available.

  • Spots must be reserved no later than 95 days before the trip start date.

Rooms & rooming

  • You have the choice. Double occupancy means you'll share a room with another traveller in separate beds - a great option if you'd like to keep costs down and you're open to a roommate. Single occupancy gives you your own private room. Both options are available on every trip.

  • We'll match you with a compatible roommate. Most of our travellers come on their own - you won't be the only one.

Flights & logistics

  • Travellers are responsible for booking their own flights. If you would like assistance booking your flights through a licensed travel agency, Voyages G Travel would be happy to help — visit voyagesgtravel.com or reach out through our contact page.

  • Airport transfers are not included. Each trip page specifies exactly which transfers are and aren't covered so you can plan accordingly.

  • Proof of medical travel insurance is required for all travellers. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, and emergency medical expenses.

Your Protection & Peace of Mind

  • As a Quebec-based business, The Well Travelled is registered under both an English and a French name as required by Quebec law. Our English trade name is The Well Travelled and our French trade name is Le Bon Voyage. Both names refer to the same company, and you may see either name referenced in our communications, legal documents, and invoices. Regardless of which name you see, you are always booking with the same trusted travel company.

  • Yes. The Well Travelled operates under Voyages G Travel, a Quebec-licensed travel agency regulated by the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). This means your booking is backed by some of the strongest consumer protections in North America. You are covered in the event of supplier failure such as a hotel or airline going bankrupt, natural disasters, political crises, and even in the unlikely event that the travel agency itself closes before your departure. Your investment is protected, so all you have to do is show up.

  • The Office de la protection du consommateur is Quebec's consumer protection authority. When you book travel through an OPC-licensed agency, your payments are protected by law — even in situations entirely outside anyone's control. It is one of the strongest travel consumer protection frameworks in North America and one of the most important reasons to book with a licensed travel agency rather than independently. When you book with The Well Travelled, that protection is built in.

  • The Well Travelled operates as an affiliate of Voyages G Travel, a trusted Quebec travel agency with over 25 years of experience. Founded in 2000, Voyages G Travel holds a license with the Office de la protection du consommateur, which means every booking made through The Well Travelled carries the full protection of a licensed Quebec travel agency. You get the personal, curated experience of a boutique travel company backed by the expertise and consumer protections of an established agency.

On the ground

  • All current trips require moderate walking on mostly flat surfaces. No strenuous physical activity is required. Specific considerations for each trip - such as the early start and cold temperatures at Haleakala in Hawaii - are noted on each trip page.

  • Kimberly will send all confirmed travellers a detailed packing guide specific to each destination well in advance of departure. No need to guess.

  • All accommodations include WiFi. Whether you choose to use it is entirely up to you - many of our travellers find that one of the unexpected gifts of these trips is the natural urge to put the phone down.

Cancellation & refunds

  • In the rare event a trip needs to be cancelled by The Well Travelled, all payments will be refunded in full.
